All applicants to the Degree Apprenticeship courses must have an acceptable Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics. Acceptable qualifications include GCSE with grade C/4 or above and Functional Skills with Pass - please note that we are not able to accept all kinds of Level 2 qualifications, so if you an unsure whether you have a suitable qualification please get in touch. Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) (taken before January 2015):  
An overall CPE score of 45 or above with a minimum of Weak in each skill.

An overall score of 169 with no component score less than 162.
Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT:  
79 with a minimum of 18 in Reading, 17 in Listening, 20 in Speaking and 17 in Writing.
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE):  
An overall score of 54 with a minimum of 51 in each skill.
HKDSE English Language Examination:  
An overall score of 4 with a minimum of 3 in each component.
Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English (ISE):  
Trinity College Integrated Skills in English (ISE) Level III with a Pass in all 4 components
European Baccalaureate English Language 1:  
A minimum of 6.0 in the European Baccalaureate English Language 1.
European Baccalaureate English Language 2:  
A minimum of 7.0 in the European Baccalaureate English Language 2.
